Dr. Thamina (Samina) Anwar serves as the Interim Chief Editor of IqraPress, providing strategic leadership for the organisation’s editorial vision, publishing programme, and editorial standards during its formative years. As the CEO and Founder of IqraPress, she is responsible for establishing the editorial policies, quality assurance processes, and publishing framework that will guide the organisation as it grows into a globally recognised Islamic publishing house.
In her role as Interim Chief Editor, Dr. Anwar oversees the editorial direction of IqraPress, ensuring that every publication reflects the organisation’s unwavering commitment to authenticity, academic excellence, ethical publishing, and the dissemination of beneficial knowledge. She works closely with authors, editors, reviewers, and publishing professionals to maintain the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and professionalism throughout the publishing process.
Dr. Anwar’s appointment as Interim Chief Editor reflects her commitment to laying a strong foundation for IqraPress. As the organisation expands, she intends to appoint an accomplished Chief Editor supported by an international editorial board and a team of experienced editors, scholars, and publishing professionals. Until then, she will continue to oversee the editorial programme and ensure that every publication upholds the values and mission upon which IqraPress was founded.
Guided by the belief that publishing is an amanah (sacred trust), Dr. Anwar is dedicated to preserving authentic knowledge, empowering authors, and producing publications that educate, inspire, and benefit communities for generations to come.Dr. Thamina (Samina) Anwar serves as the interim Chief Editor of IqraPress, providing strategic leadership for the organisation’s editorial vision and publishing programme. Experience: With an interdisciplinary background spanning engineering, business, education, Islamic finance, research, and Islamic social entrepreneurship, Dr. Anwar brings a unique perspective to the publishing process. She has authored books, academic papers, policy reports, educational resources, and professional publications, and has extensive experience in manuscript development, editing, proofreading, publishing, and book marketing.

As Chief Editor, Dr. Anwar oversees the editorial direction of IqraPress, including:

Managing Editors

Our Managing Editors oversee the day-to-day editorial workflow, ensuring that manuscripts progress efficiently from submission through to publication. They coordinate communication between authors, editors, reviewers, designers, and production teams while maintaining the highest editorial standards and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule.

Developmental Editors

Developmental Editors work closely with authors during the early stages of manuscript preparation. They help refine the overall structure, strengthen arguments, improve the flow of ideas, and ensure that each manuscript effectively communicates its intended message while preserving the author’s unique voice.

Copy Editors

Our Copy Editors carefully review every manuscript for grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, clarity, style, and readability. Their meticulous attention to detail ensures that every publication meets professional international publishing standards.

Proofreaders

Before publication, each manuscript undergoes a final proofreading process to identify any remaining typographical, formatting, or language errors. This final quality assurance stage helps ensure that readers receive polished and error-free publications.

Scholarly Review Panel
